Jane's Addiction is coming to the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas to perform the band's widely-acclaimed album, "Nothing's Shocking," in celebration of the album's 25th anniversary. Noted for being among the first alternative rock bands to emerge in the early 1990s, Jane's Addiction was ranked No. 35 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" list.
"Nothing's Shocking," the band's first studio album, is regarded by critics as Jane's Addiction's best album. The first single released was "Mountain Song;" MTV refused to air the song's video because of its use of full frontal nudity. Other songs from the album include "Jane Says," "Standing in the Shower... Thinking," "Idiot's Rule" and "Pig's in Zen."
The band's current lineup includes singer Perry Ferrell, drummer Stephen Perkins, guitarist Dave Navarro and bassist Chris Chaney.
After Jane's Addiction performs, alternative rock band Fishbone is scheduled to take the stage.
"Since we're doing 'Nothing's Shocking,' it's only fitting that we invite our true brothers in arms, Fishbone, to be on the bill," Farrell said. "They were there from the beginning, they saw it all come down. Hell, they even lived with us at the Wilton House - that was crazy. They played horns, too, on 'Shocking,' so don't be surprised if they join in."
